It's all about flavor...

Bona Bona Ice Cream is the joyful creation of Chef Nick Di Bona.  For him, it’s all about flavor.  And to get the best flavor, he uses the best possible ingredients and makes it in small batches, from scratch, with love. 

Chef Nick grew up in a traditional Italian home, learning to cook with fresh, local ingredients.  When Nick attended the Culinary Institute of America, he was extensively trained in classic techniques.  When he competed on The Food Network’s hit show “Chopped,” he won... with his ice cream. He went on to open his first restaurant, Madison Kitchen, to rave reviews. During his tenure at MK, his ice cream was never far from his thoughts - or the restaurant's menu. Last year he made the jump to focus on ice cream full time.  Bona Bona Ice Cream is Chef Nick’s own hybrid of Italian gelato and American style ice cream.  His goal is to pack all the flavor he can into his rich, dense, creamy creation. All he ever wanted was to make amazing ice cream.  And now that’s exactly what he does.
